The Crowborough Men’s Shed, is affiliated to the
UK Men’s Sheds Association. It has been established to be a welcoming and secure environment for men from all walks of life and cultural and ethnic backgrounds.
The shed provides an enjoyable way to stay socially integrated in the Crowborough community, by being creatively active and learning new skills or passing on your expertise, enhancing members’ health and wellbeing.
The Shed provides a purpose, a focus and an excuse to make and meet friends and also offers a means to help others in the community.
We meet to pursue practical interests at leisure, to practice skills and enjoy making and mending. The difference is that garden sheds and their activities maybe solitary in nature while Men's Sheds are the opposite!
The Shed is about social connections and friendship building, sharing skills and knowledge, and of course tea, coffee and a lot of laughter. No need to contact us beforehand, just come along and see for yourself.
At the moment, we meet in an annexe at the Girl Guides hut in Jarvis Brook. Soon we are planning to relocate to a building near the Goldsmiths Sports and Leisure Center where we will have more space.
